Resistance as Legacy — Tribute to Lounès Matoub

28 years after the assassination of Lounès Matoub, a major figure of engaged Kabyle song, Nadia Matoub and the Franco-Berber Cultural Network (CBF) invite you to a tribute day at Théâtre La Bruyère (5 rue de la Bruyère, 75009 Paris), on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Three highlights: the play “Cellule 204 - La Voix du Rebelle en écho” by Massinissa Hadbi and Amar Benhamouche; a tribute concert with Smail Kessay, Cécile Barache, Lounès Ghassouli, Agour Sarahoui and Sadek Yousfi revisiting Lounès Matoub's repertoire; and an exhibition of caricatures by Ghilas Aïnouche.
